You can use VolSpace (a web-based FTP client) to upload files to the personal webspace that OIT provides for users. The information is stored on Unix-based servers.
In order to use the service, first you'll need to visit http://volspace.utk.edu/.
A. you can successfully login (using your NetID and password), your account is setup and you're ready to begin uploading.
B. it gives you an error message about having an uninitialized account, visit https://ds.utk.edu/uact/ and get registered for a Unix account. It will take approximately 2 hours for the account to be activated by OIT. This registration will allow you to use VolSpace.

T-Storage can be set up on OIT faculty and staff computers and is available in the OIT public computer labs
Portable Document Format. Refers to a file format in which formatted documents can be transferred over the Internet. PDF files are readable with Adobe Acrobat Reader, an application which can be downloaded from the Adobe Web site at no charge.
Duplex printing means printing on both sides of a page, or double-sided printing.
Bibliographic citations, e-journal articles, and electronic database records may be sent to yourself or others via e-mail, and retrieved elsewhere. In most electronic resources, there are icons to mark or select records, and icons to e-mail or export records. Please see the Help index of the resource that you are using for more information.
