Bringing the Real World Into the Classroom through Video
Dr. Shay Scott, a faculty member in Marketing and Supply Chain Management department, teaches a large-enrollment course introducing business students to supply chain management (SCM) principles. To connect his large student audience with the subject and to bring real world examples into the classroom, Dr. Scott created two video series.
The first is a case study that shows the supply chain management in action by demonstrating the SCM process in a local Knoxville store. The second series includes video interviews with business executives who explain how SCM principles are used in their practices, how SCM adds value to their business, and how students may plan their careers in SCM.
