Distinguished Lecturer, Department of English
Sally began teaching a hybrid course in 2007 and transferred to fully online in 2015, recognizing the opportunity to reach students who are unable to take a course in a traditional classroom setting. Currently, she teaches workplace writing online; she also teaches technical communications, British literature, and detective fiction in traditional classroom settings.
As part of her OIT Faculty Fellow position, Sally is researching undergraduate online programs to determine the best practices (and the worst) for implementing fully online undergraduate degree and certificate programs, as well as best practices for engaging students in online courses. She looks forward to implementing what she learns by developing more online courses and by collaborating with other faculty and departments who are interested in moving courses online.
