Student Assistant in Instructional Support and Training (Visual Design)
The Student Assistant for OIT Instructional Support is an hourly-paid position open for a student who is available to work 10-20 hours per week.
The student will assist in graphic design, visual design, or multimedia design/development projects. Experience or coursework in graphic design is desirable. Students will additionally perform general office duties and other responsibilities as assigned.
NOTE: While this position is currently virtual, all OIT student assistants are expected to return to in-person work (in Greve Hall) once UT offices and departments can safely return to campus.
Typical Tasks Assigned:
- Development of instructional materials for faculty, such as graphics, multimedia-based learning materials, and presentations
- Design of OIT promotional materials and graphics
- Creation/maintenance of content in WordPress sites
- Web development and HTML/CSS coding (Beginner level)
Required Skills:

The ideal candidate must possess good communication, writing, and organizational skills; ability to work efficiently within tight deadlines; and aptitude to quickly learn and apply new technology skills.
