Graduate Teaching Assistant in Teaching and Learning Technologies (Zoom)


This Graduate Teaching Assistantship, which is a twelve-month, half-time appointment, carries a stipend and a waiver of tuition and maintenance fees, including the summer session. A half-time Graduate Teaching Assistant works twenty hours per week and is expected to work spring, summer, and fall semesters.

The Graduate Teaching Assistant participates in support initiatives for LiveOnline@UT (Zoom), the UT-branded name for the software used to deliver live, interactive classes via the Internet. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting staff, faculty, and students as they engage LiveOnline@UT (Zoom) for teaching and learning
  • Assisting with LiveOnline@UT (Zoom) trainings and workshops (online)
  • Assisting with composing and editing documentation and website content

QUALIFICATIONS 

Applicants must be team-oriented and possess a strong background in communication, customer support, technical support, or another relevant discipline. Additional qualifications include:

  • Willingness to learn new applications, develop troubleshooting skills, and the ability to multi-task assignments/responsibilities  
  • Ability to communicate professionally with staff, faculty, and students via phone, email, and online
