hypertext documents
How To Do
It
- Welcome
to Hoohoo!
-- Hoohoo is a server to test and demonstrate the latest versions
of httpd and provide documentation for it.
- HTML converters
-- Information on converter/filter software between various systems
and HTML.
- The World Wide Web -- Tools for aspiring web weavers. Aids for putting
your information on the World Wide Web.
- MapMarker
Home Page
-- For UNIX: a utility to help you create ISMAP documents (in
the U.K., so it's a little slow).
- HTML Tag Reference
-- This book lists all the HTML tags and attributes supported
in Netscape Navigator 4.0 and earlier. This book was posted on
11/19/97. This tag reference replaces the previous HTML Reference
Guide.
- Broswer Help
(get the most out of your browser)
- Server
Side Includes (SSI)
-- DII's web servers support Server Side Includes (SSI). There
is however, no support for creating or debugging your scripts.
Please do not contact the DII Help Desk or NTUSG for help in debugging
or writing your scripts. This link will provide you with links
to a host of documents on how to use SSI. Happy scripting.
- Virtual
Hosting
-- Student groups need to contact Ron Laffitte the Vice Provost-Student
Affairs in the Office of Student Affairs (974-3179, ronl@utk.edu )
about implementing this service. He must approve all services
provided to student organizations. Note that the usual charge
is $500 per year to support this service for University departments
and organizations.
My understanding is that they work the same way as fac/staff/students
but apply for an organizational account in parallel to (or as
part of) their virtual host request.
