Bob
Muenchen (pronounced minī-chen), Manager Bob earned a B.A. in Psychology, an M.S. in Statistics and spent one year working toward a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and another year in a Ph.D. program in Industrial Psychology. Bob has conducted research for a variety of public and private organizations and has published over thirty articles in a wide range of academic journals. His academic interests include statistical computing, data graphics and visualization, data mining, text analysis, psychometrics and resampling. Ann
Reed Ann has a BS degree in Anthropology from the University of Tennessee. After obtaining an MA in anthropology, she went on to complete the coursework for a Ph.D in that field. Ann worked for 10 years in academic computing support at UTK and currently works with the Statistical and Computational Consulting Center. Her primary areas of interest include multivariate data analysis, spatial data modeling, GIS applications, and data graphics and visualization. Non-work related academic interests include Native American studies, archaeology, and European history (excluding the post-modern era). Ann has 2 seasonal hobbies-gardening and Lady Vols basketball. Cary
Springer Cary has a BS and an MS in Statistics, both from The University of Tennessee. While working on her Master's, Cary worked as a graduate assistant for the Statistical Consulting Center. After graduating, she worked for Trilogy Consulting, a statistical consulting firm in Kalamazoo, Michigan. In 1996, she returned to UT to work as a consulting statistician. Cary assists students, faculty and staff with statistical aspects of their theses, dissertations and various research projects. Her hobbies include quilting, crafts and needlework. Mike
Newman Mike has earned a BS in Mathematics, an MS in Mathematics, and an MS in Management Science, all from UT, and has completed the coursework for a PhD in Management Science Program. Mike has worked in the Division of Information Infrastructure and its predecessor organizations for 28 years and has held positions in User Services, Systems Programming, and Administrative Computing management. Mike also worked for two years at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the Computer Science Division. Mike's current interests include computer performance measurement and evaluation. Mike
O'Neil Mike has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Washington, an M.A. in Educational Psychology from Arizona State and an M.S. in Industrial Psychology from UT Chattanooga. In addition to his 10+ years with various incarnations of what is now the SCC, Mike has worked in personnel research at TVA and as a statistical analyst for the Tennessee Department of Education.
