REGISTER FOR A UNIX ACCOUNT
Many classes currently require students to have their own web pages. There are two steps you must complete to have a webpage.

First you must have a website or UNIX account. Go to the UNIX/Website Account page and click “Register for UNIX/Website Account” and follow the instructions.

The second step is detailed in the next paragraph.

WEB OPTIONS
To create your own personal webpage, go to https://tmail.utk.edu/uact, select “Manage Your Website” and log in. Here you will be able to review the status of your website, and create, edit, and download web pages.

Students can register for classes on how to create web pages by going to the webpage http://web.utk.edu/~training. These classes are free for UT students. Several help links provide information on building web pages. Many links can also be found in the Collegiate Surfing.

INCREASE YOUR DISK SPACE
You are given 50 megabytes of disk space for your UNIX account. If you need additional disk space, it can be applied for from the Tmail homepage and click “UNIX/Website Account Center,” then click “Manage Your UNIX Account,” then “Quota.” An additional 100 megabytes of space costs $25.00 per year.
