Getting Connected to UT
Access to the Internet
To have access to the Internet (which you need in order to use your UT e-mail account or to use the Web), you need to have hardware and/or software to get your computer connected to the UT network. Carefully read this section because it discusses the types of Internet connections available on- and off-campus for students at UT. This will explain how you gain access to the Internet, as well as access to your e-mail account. Once the computer you are using has access to the Internet and you have received your e-mail account, you will be able to send and receive e-mail as well as use the Web.
