I have two students in my class with the same last name and they aren't sorting correctly in the Grade Center. What's going on?

When 2 (or more) students with the same last name are in the Grade Center, they are sometimes sorted incorrectly. From what we can determine, the Grade Center sorts by Last Name and then the date the student was added to the course site, rather than the expected Last Name, First Name method.

While we have a ticket in with Blackboard about the issue, for now, the workaround is to re-sort the Grade Center by First Name, then Last Name. You can change the sort order by clicking the name of the column in the Grade Center.
