Data Back-Up for OS Reloads –
When a user brings their computer in for a reload, our consultant will create a folder on the desktop and name it with the student’s NetID. At that time, everything that the customer wants backed up should be dropped into that folder.  Due to storage space and time limitations, Student Computer Support cannot back up large copyrighted material such as music and movies.  We will now only keep the data for 5 business days after the user has picked up their computer.

Quick Data Back-Up -
Users that would like data transferred from their computer to another device will be placed in our quick line.  OIT will copy user data to whatever device the user bring us… i.e. another computer, hard drive, usb key, DVD, or CD’s.  However, there is a LIMIT to what we will copy onto media.  We will only burn up to 5 CD’s worth of data or 5 DVD’s worth of data.  The user must supply the media.  OIT will copy whatever the user requests to their own devices.
