I can't see the elapsed time when taking a timed test in Blackboard using the Firefox browser.

To see the timer during a timed test, Firefox users need to enable the Change Status Bar Text feature.

In Windows XP:

  • In the Firefox Tools Menu, click Options > Content
  • Click on the Advanced button next to Enable JavaScript
  • Select Change Status Bar Text.

In Mac OSX:

  • In the Firefox Menu, click Preferences > Content
  • Click on the Advanced button next to Enable JavaScript
  • Select Change Status Bar Text.
