Getting Connected with Leopard

Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard nomad Wireless Instructions

1. Select the airport icon in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

2. Choose "Join Other Network..."

3. Enter the network name "nomad". Security by default should be set to "None". Click "Join".

4. Open Safari and direct your browser to http://support.utk.edu/ and continue through the registration process.

5. After completing registration, you can renew your IP Address by one of two ways:

  1. Restarting your Mac or
  2. Go into the Network option in System Preferences
    1. Choose Advanced...

    2. Select the TCP/IP tab and click the "Renew DHCP Lease" button. Your IP Address should now show 160.36.X.X
