If you would like to submit a request for a SNAP scan, go to the SNAP website at http://security.tennessee.edu/~snap. Enter your NetID and corresponding password twice.

Once logged in, the follow the steps below:

1.    Click Create a Scan
2.    Enter a title in the Scan Title field.  This is purely for information purposes and can be any value.
3.    Enter a system IP name or number in the New Target field.
4.    Click Add.

Note: If you wish to scan the system they are currently using, clicking Add Current System will perform steps 3 and 4.

5.    If desired, add additional hosts by repeating steps 3 and 4.
6.    Once the list is complete, click Submit.

Note: If a Steward submits the scan, the scan will commence within 10 minutes.  Otherwise, the Information Security Office will be notified of the pending request and it will remain in a queue until released by the ISO or another Steward.

Once the scan is complete, the you will receive an email with the URL to the report. Alternatively, you can log in to SNAP and click View Reports.
