OIT offers printing capabilities via your wireless computer in five OIT labs around campus. As an added convenience, users may now send jobs to a single wireless queue, rather than having to select a different printer depending on which lab in which they wish to print. Jobs can be released at any VolPrint release station located in the following labs:

  • Ayres, Room 13
  • Presidental Court
  • Perkins, Room 209
  • Hodges Library, Room G20
  • Hodges Library Commons

To use this new service you must first have a laptop with a wireless card. Just like the other printers in the library, you will be required to use VolPrint and pay for all print outs to the wireless printers. For more information about VolPrint, click here. For more information how to obtain wireless Internet access, please click here. Only computers running Windows 2000/XP or Mac OSX are able to access the wireless printers.

To configure your laptop for wireless printing capabilities, click on your operating system below:

If you have any questions, you may contact the OIT HelpDesk at (865) 974-9900.

Remember, if you decide to take advantage of this technology, be a good UT citizen by not printing large jobs via your wireless connection. These jobs should be printed from one of the desktop computers in the lab.
