How do I create a Forum in a Discussion Board? |

From the Control Panel, click Discussion Board. (You can also access the Discussion Board as students do, by clicking the Communication button in course navigation bar and then clicking the Discussion Board link.) Click Add Forum. Enter the forum's Title, along with its Description.
Make any necessary adjustments to the default Forum Settings. - Note that Anonymous Posts are permitted by default. If you want all messages posted to the forum to be identified with the author's name, click the checkbox for Allow anonymous posts to clear it. The Forum User settings allow you to block individual students from posting messages or to assign forum administrator privileges to one or more students. Click Submit. The newly-created discussion forum displays in the Discussion Board window. You can now add a discussion forum topic, or thread, to the forum you just created; modify, manage, copy or remove the forum; or add a new forum. Remember that you can reorder the list of forums by choosing a number from the drop-down list preceding each forum's name. |
