How do I extend quiz/test access to some students, but not all of them?

If you would like to extend the access for some students but not all, there are two ways you can do that:

1. You can use Adaptive Release to specify which students will have access to the quiz (The "Best Way"), or
2. You can extend the display dates for the quiz and then apply a password to the quiz that you only give out to the specified students (the "Old Way")

Instructions to extend quiz access using Adaptive Release:

1. Go to the Control Panel of your course
   
2. Click on the appropriate Content Area where your quiz is located
   
3. Click on the Manage button next to the quiz link
4. Click Adaptive Release
5. In Section 2: Membership, enter or click on Browse for the usernames of the students
   
6. Click Submit

Instructions to extend quiz access using a password:

1. Go to the Control Panel of your course
   
2. Click on the appropriate Content Area where your quiz is located
   
3. Click on the Modify button next to the quiz link
4. Click the Modify the Test Options link
   
5. Change the display dates in Section 2: Test Availability
6. Check the box next to password and enter a password in the text box
7. Click Submit
8. Click OK on the confirmation screen
9. Click OK
