How do I add random block questions to tests in my course site?

Enter the Control Panel and in the Assessment section, click on the Test Manager link to which you want to add random block questions. To the far right of the test click on the Modify button to open the Test Canvas page. Select Random Block from the question type drop-down list. Click GO.
  1. Under Search the Pools below: are all the question pools that are currently in the Pool Manager with the number of questions available from each pool. (Random Blocks must be drawn from Question Pools, not other Tests. Select the pool that contains question types that could be added to the current test. The screen will update to display how many of each question type is included within the selected question pool.)
  2. To import all of the available questions, place a check in the All check box.
  3. To select specific question types that you want to randomly import into the current test, place a check in the corresponding check box.
  4. In the Number of questions to import text box, type the total number of questions you want to randomly import into the test.
  5. In the Points per question text box, type the point value you want for each randomly drawn question.
  6. Click Import.
  7. The random block will be displayed as a single question on the Test Canvas page.
