How do I add quiz bowl questions to tests, surveys and question pools in my Blackboard course?

Enter the Control Panel and in the Assessment section, click on the Test Manager, Survey Manager, or Pool Manager link to which you want to add quiz bowl questions. To the far right of the test, survey, or pool item, click on the Modify button to open the Test Canvas page. Select Quiz Bowl from the question type drop-down list. Click GO.

1. Enter the Question Text.
   
2. Assign a Point Value.
3. To make the question extra credit, place a check in the Extra credit only check box.
4. To allow partial credit, place a check in the Allow Partial Credit check box. In the Partial Credit % box, type a value for the percentage of total points you want to allow for partial answers. Partial credit for this question type is based on whether the correct interrogatives were chosen. A percentage of the total points can be deducted if an incorrect interrogative is used or one is not present at all. You can allow partial credit if the answer includes at least one of the specified answer phrases but none of the specified interrogatives.
5. Use the drop-down menu beside Number of Interrogatives to select the number of interrogatives you want to include. In each Interrogative text box, type an interrogative that could be included in the answer.
6. Use the drop-down menu beside Number of Answer Phrases to select the number of correct answer phrases. In each Answer Phrase text box, type the specified answer phrase.
7. In the Feedback section, type the feedback that you want to display in response to either a correct or incorrect question.
8. Under Categories and Keywords you can choose any categories, set the levels of difficulty or choose any topics to associate with this question by clicking on the Modify button. In the Keywords box, type in any keywords separated by commas that you want to include.
9. After creating the question, click Submit to finalize adding the question to the assessment.

Quiz Bowl:
- A way to add fun and creativity to tests, such as self-assessments or in-class contests.
- Jeopardy style questions where answer is given and user must create the question.
- Answer must include a phrase and a question word, such as whom, what, or where, to be marked as correct.
- Grants partial credit if the question word is not included in the answer.
