The following announcements have been posted by the OIT HelpDesk:

  • Student Assistant Position Available
    September 15, 2008
    The OIT HelpDesk is now hiring undergraduate Student Assistants.

    Applicants should be self-motivated, possess good customer service and communication skills, able to take initiative, be comfortable talking with people, and able to perform well in a team environment. Applicants should be available to work 20 hours per week (M-F), preferably in blocks of 3+ hours. Students able to hold this position for more than one academic year are strongly preferred. The starting salary for this position is $8.50/hour.

    Note that this is a customer service-oriented position; this is NOT a programming position.

  • Graduate Assistantship Available
    October 27, 2009

    Customer Technology Support has an opening for a Graduate Assistantship to work in the OIT Computer Service Center in the Commons.  The students will provide technology consulting assistance to faculty, staff, and students.  Applicants should be self-motivated, possess good customer service and communication skills, able to take initiative, and be comfortable talking with people.  The student must be available to work 20 hours per week (preferably in blocks of 3+ hours).  The student will receive full tuition reimbursement as well as a monthly stipend.<br /><br />
