Who do I contact regarding the status of my order?
- Apple Computers (University Center Computer Store) does not send confirmation letters upon receipt of departmental orders. Therefore, departments wishing to inquire about orders placed for Apple equipmrnt should contact the University Center Computer Store directly at (865) 974-2930. The Computer Store will be able to give you information concerning your order.
- If you have received a confirmation letter from your vendor, contact the appropriate vendor and using the order number from your confirmation letter request the status of your order. Contact information for all of the contractors can be found on the Vendor Contact Information page or on the manufacturer's specific ordering instructions page. The contractor can give you specific information concerning delivery of your order.
- If you have not received a confirmation letter from the vendor, fill out the Hardware Order Status Form. Please provide as much information as possible.
- Alternatively, if your order is with Dell, you can now check the status of your order on-line with the contractors. Instructions and links to the order status pages are now available for Dell.
Who do I contact regarding the procedures for ordering computer equipment?
- Read the appropriate order instructions page for the manufacturer from which you wish to order. Links to these pages can be found on the How to Order webpage.

Who do I contact regarding pricing for computer equipment?
- Several of our contractors have placed their price lists online and/or created websites to provide the University community with pricing information. NOTE: OIT is not responsible for the pricing found on the websites of our various contractors. Links to these pricelists can be found on the Hardware Purchases Pricelist page.
- If the item you desire is not listed or you are otherwise unable to find an answer to your question(s), please contact the contractor for the appropriate manufacturer and inquire with them. Names, telephone numbers and email addresses for all of the contractors can be found on the Vendor Contact Information page or on the manufacturer's specific ordering instructions page.
Who do I contact regarding the availability of computer equipment?
- Inquiries about the availability of computer equipment should be made with each contractor. Contact information can be found on the Vendor Contact Information page or on the manufacturer's specific ordering instructions page.
Who do I contact regarding technical questions?
- Questions of a technical nature can be addressed directly to the contractor and/or manufacturer. Once again, contact information can be found on the Vendor Contact Information page.
- If the contractor is unable to assist you or you are unable to find the necessary information on the manufacturer's homepage or if you need assistance in determining what computer equipment meets your needs, you can call the Lan and Desktop Support Team at (865) 974-9800 and ask to speak to a consultant. The Lan and Desktop Support Team can assist you in determining what computer equipment meets your needs.
