Introduction to GroupWise Novell GroupWise for Windows is a comprehensive electronic mail and scheduling software application. It includes options that enable you to send items such as mail messages with attached files, appointments, tasks, phone messages and notes. You can schedule yourself, other people, and resources for events. Advanced scheduling techniques allow you to perform a Busy Search to determine when multiple resources are available for a meeting and Auto-Date schedules recurring events. Frequently occurring activities may be automated with Rules. Other tools enable you to organize your incoming and outgoing mail and print your calendar. Routing Slips enable a user to send a mail message to a group of users in a predetermined sequence. You may even choose to track the status on an item that you have sent out so you know when it has been opened and deleted, accepted or completed. To view this GroupWise tutorial, you will need to download and use Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is available free from Adobe. Helpful Hint: When you view the files with Adobe Acrobat, some of the graphics may look distorted. If you have trouble reading a graphic, simply click on the "zoom in" icon (shown below), then click on the graphic. When you zoom in on the graphic, the image will be clearer. To restore the page when you have finished viewing the graphic, click on the "zoom out" icon (shown below), then click the page. (Depending on the version of Acrobat Reader you are using, you may or may not have the "zoom out" icon.)
![]() The tutorial is broken down into two guides : Using GroupWise Email and Scheduling and Other GroupWise Features. (Also, at the end of some of the chapters, there are blank pages for notes. So, if you print the guide, you will have room for notes.)
