Access after Leaving/Graduating
Faculty or staff who leave the university will have access to their Volmail accounts for one year. After this time, the accounts are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Students retain access to Volmail indefinitely after graduating or leaving the university. Before you graduate or leave the university, we encourage you to setup your Volmail password options BEFORE your NetID has been deleted from the UT Directory. Your NetID is deleted from the UT Directory one year after graduating or leaving the university. In the event that you forget your password or it becomes corrupt, you will be able to create a new password. Once your NetID has been deleted from the UT Directory, OIT will be unable to reset your password.
