Downloading Real's Media Player - Macintosh Installation
Use these download and installation instructions if you are installing
1. Go to the Real home page. Look for the yellow button labeled “Download RealPlayer” and click on it.
2. Now look for the words “Download Free Player” in blue at the bottom right of the page. Click anywhere on these words in blue to download the free player. IMPORTANT: Do NOT click on either of the yellow “Download Now” buttons. That will download the Premium version at a cost of $20.
3. A page entitled “Thanks for choosing RealPlayer for Windows” will appear. Look for the text at the bottom that says "Need a different player?". If you are running the OS X operating system click on the "Macintosh" link. If you are running a prior version of the Mac operating system, click on the "Previous Versions" link.
4. From this point on follow the instructions on the dialogue screens to download the software and install the Real media player.
NOTE: We recommend that you install or upgrade your copy of Real Player well before the day of the webcast you plan to watch. If you do have problems during the installation contact the Technology Consulting and Support Help Desk at (865) 974-9800, or complete the HelpDesk Contact Form.
On The Day Of The Webcast
When you’re ready to watch one of the live webcasts, open your browser and go to the Web Events page. Look for the section entitled “Today’s Web Events” and click on the line that says “Click here for today’s webcast”. The RealPlayer will automatically open and you will be connected to the live webcast.
