Walk-in Consulting in The Commons - Helpdesk Contact Form Instructions for downloading or updating the Real media player for viewing webcasts and video archives
To view a webcast or video archive from your office computer make sure your PC has the right resources to produce a quality picture. First and foremost you need the latest version of the Real media player. The instructions below detail the steps required to download and install this player on your PC. Please note that the order and/or appearance of the steps will depend on whether you have a prior version of RealPlayer already installed. If one of these steps does not appear, don’t be alarmed. It probably means that Real already knows your preference for that question and did not need to ask you again. The steps also differ depending on which browser is used to download the file. For simplicity the instructions listed below are for downloading RealPlayer using Internet Explorer. The dialog screens will be different if you are using another browser.

On The Day Of A Webcast
When you’re ready to watch a webcast open your browser and go to the
Web Events
page. Look for the section entitled “Today’s Web Events” and click on the line that says “Click here for today’s webcast”. The RealPlayer will automatically open and you will be connected to the live webcast.
